The Week From Hell

This week has been a nightmare for our friends and family. On Tuesday a friend lost his close friend ,17 to the bitch that is cancer. On Wednesday my brothers girlfriend mum had a severe heart attack and is extremly lucky to be alive and today Ali suddenly lost a friends mum. I'm over this week and it's only Friday.

My parents are travelling this weekend (Queens birthday long weekend) and it terrifies me to think that something could happen. My best friend and her fiance are travelling this weekend too and it's an unbearable thought.

This week has hit too many nerves, my grandad suffered from severe heart attacks and I remember the look in mum's eyes everytime she had to tell us, absolute fear written across her face. My bestfriend lost her dad to cancer when we were 15 and that has always stuck with me. We we're close like father and daughter and I cannot bear to lose another person I love so much.

I wish so dearly that everyone I know both near and far, close and distant are safe this long weekend. Drive to the conditions, listen to your body. And for goodness sake tell those you love how you feel everyday.

Fingers are crossed for a better week next week.

On a more positive not i've been at the gym 5 times this week doing strength and ab work. I can run 800m without stopping and that's massive for me especially withmy foot thingy.

Feeling great about my weight and health in general. Dan and Emma are getting me a step for home and a set of weight so I can do pump at home too.  Seems petty when I think about it in comparison to what others I know are going through.

Welcome to my crazy life

Welcome!!

I'm Kate and this is my third attempt at a blog. Hopefully I can keep this one up and running. First, a little about me.

I'm a mum to Emma who has just turned four. She will be going to big school next year and it's very exciting for her.

I'm a wife to my wonderful husband Daniel, without him my life would be dull and uneventful I'm sure. He keeps me on my toes and makes sure i'm alive.

I'm a sister and best friend to two very special people in my life. Alex and Veronica have been with me through it all and without them I wouldnt be here writing this blog.

I'm also a student. I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Education (Primary). My aim is to have my degree finished my 2013. I'm very excited it's full time and full on. My famly are very understanding when I cant do something because of study and for this I'm grateful.

Lastly, I'm a daughter. My mum is the inspiration for everything I do. She's my rock and I couldnt ask for anything more than that. She is the bravest person I know and by far the strongest.
